We awoke this morning to a major ant event. They had completely covered my shoes inside and out. These are not your ordinary ants, either. They are big, biting, insanely tenacious beasts.
 
After a couple hours we are mostly rid of them, but at some cost to both us and the colony. In the most shocking development of the morning, I took a bite in a very sensitive area, if you know what I mean.
